Dandelions

If you were a flower,

I would stand to watch you grow.

The soft petals are so beautiful,

And the stem is sturdy and strong.

And all of those years of water and wind,

Floods and dim light,

Have showed you tonight

Will not last forever.

What exists in the present must come to an end.

The flower will move forward, with just a little bend.

And all your dents,

Your misshapen leaves

Are just as beautiful as the heart inside

Dandelions flow

They grow,

And I will sit right there

Waiting for you to bloom again in Spring.
